Long Grove, IL is a village located in Lake County, Illinois, United States. As of the 2010 census, the village had a population of 8,043. Long Grove is known for its historic downtown, which is home to many shops and restaurants. The village is also home to several parks and nature trails.

Long Grove was first settled in 1834 by a group of pioneers from New York. The village was originally named “Duck Inn” because of the many ducks that lived in the area. The name was later changed to “Long Grove” because of the long groves of trees that grew in the area.

The Village of Long Grove was incorporated on May 23, 1958.

Today, Long Grove is a vibrant community that is home to many businesses and organizations. The village is also a popular destination for shopping, dining, and recreation.
